when a baby is teething, what do the gums look like?
For the past month he has been acting somewhat cranky and waking more at night, but nothing near the horror stories i have heard of teething but…
I just felt my 6 month old sons gums and felt something hard/sharp and when I looked I saw white/clear spots where the 2 bottom teeth would be coming in.
How long do babies usually teeth before the teeth actually come out?
Do the bottom 2 teeth usually come in unison?
Thanks for your help

babies keep teething up until theyre toddlers, it doesnt go away once the first tooth comes in. and yeah the two bottom teeth normally do come in together.
hey.. the gums bumpy and very light pink/ white in color. if you see the white bumps and theyre sharp then those are definitely his little teefers poking through! yay!
once they poke through the gums, the pain and night crankiness usually subsides – but not for too long because then the next tooth gets ready to make its debut lol.
do the spoon test. clank a metal spoon on them (lightly obviously) and you’ll hear a tink tink sound if it’s a tooth.
dylan got his first one at 5 months(bottom) and then about 2 weeks later the other bottom one came in. to come fully through takes about a month or so though. we’re still waiting for the other ones.. he’s been fussy and drooling like crazy!!
good luck and congrats
i know this wasnt your question.. but.. if he is cranky.. go to walmart or your local drug store and buy Hylands Teething Tablets. they are in a small bottle. you can give him 3 or 4 at a time, they are all natural, but work WONDERFULLY!! and you can keep giving them to him.. they automatically dissolve when you put them in his mouth. good luck!!
when my baby got her teeth I saw white spots on her gums. If you feel something hard then your baby is getting teeth! My baby got hers two months ago, both of them on the bottom and they aren’t completely in but you can see them.
