I have heard and read plenty of people who think a fever is in no way associated with a fever, but I believe that it is because after my first daughter I saw her get a low grade fever every time a tooth was going to break through. My 2nd daughter is now 9 months old and has 3 bottom teeth that caused her no problem at all. However, all evening yesterday she was being very clingy, inconsolable whining, didn’t want to eat much etc.. she didnt have a fever and went to bed as normal, then at 11 pm she woke up crying and I took her temp it was 99.6 so I just changed her and held her but in the duration she was up her temp went to 100.4, I felt her top gums (where she has no teeth yet) and one spot felt raised and she cried when I did it so I gave her Tylenol and Orajel. She was a lot better about 10 mins later. Now my question is, is this how your baby acted when he/she was teething? And what was the temp. you experienced? This is to Moms/Dads who do believe teething causes fever! Thanks!
please only answer if you DO agree it causes fever. THANK YOU!
