Question by serdyjjhbmn: SEVERE upper back pain, stomache pain and vomiting, 23 weeks pregnant?
last night i couldn’t go to sleep because i had SEVERE and i mean really bad upper back pain, not achy muscles, like pain.
i laid in bed for about an hour and a half trying to get to sleep, then at about 1am i decided to run a bath to see if it would help.
it did a little bit
upon leaving the tub and getting dressed, i started to experience more back pain, i called my on call nurse, and it got so bad i could barely speak,
all the sudden my stomach [my actual stomach, like the organ] started to feel like it was going to explode, my back muscles began to contract tighter and my stomach pains grew worse, i began to projectile vomit and i couldn’t control it one bit
i couldn’t even stand up for a few mins.

my boyfriend rushed me to the E.R.
it was the WORSE back pain i ever had
as soon as i was admitted into my own room and laid down i felt better right away
the nurse gave me MORPHINE i was so shocked.
i was there for almost 5 hrs
when i left they gave me a vicodin prescription for the back pain and an anti vomit med.

has any one experienced this? all of my tests came back regular except i had low potassium and i was dehydrated a little bit, both which could been from puking
he said to stay away from fatty foods for some reason
morphines actually better for you then tylenol while pregnant thats why they gave me that
i wasnt seen by an OB because the fetal heart rate was normal and she was kicking a whole ton, i dont think it had anything to do with her. but im gonna call my OB and find out what to do. i was seen by the ER doctor and a really sweet nurse

Really? 3 weeks old and give him juice? You should try breastfeeding him and not feeding him formula. The formula is known to constipate babies, and it’s really sad. 3 weeks old he should be happy and content. Please try it.

Is your baby breast or formula fed? If formula, you may need to switch brands. He may also have reflux, in which case medications can do wonders. Please talk to your pediatrician asap.
