3 week old breastfed baby spitting up a lot?

Question by Lexi: 3 week old breastfed baby spitting up a lot?
My daughter is now 3 weeks old and we just recently finished a 2 day trip driving from Colorado to New Mexico. Since we started the trip (we left on Saturday and arrived on Sunday night) she seems to be spitting back up everything she eats. It seems that it calmed down a little bit (she was still spitting up a lot after eating, but it didn’t seem to be quite as much), but then this morning she threw up all over me within one minute of finishing on each side. I’ve been feeding her about 15 minutes each side since she was born. Since her stomach has been “upset” I’ve been trying to feed her about five minutes at a time with small rests in between to see if that would help. Does any one have any experience? Any suggestions on how I can get her to stop throwing up everything she eats? I haven’t been eating anything spicy, or greasy and other than throwing up, she’s been acting just fine, not really fussy at all. However this morning she had her first bowel movement since thursday
and hasn’t had another, however it seems like she’s been trying to have one without any luck

its ok for your baby to be a bit sick my little girl does so do other babies as long as they are not being sick too much or losing weight its fine.
according to my midwife at the time its because hes being greedy and drinking too fast.
plus its normal 4 the baby to not poo much when breastfeeding because it contains everything they need and nothing is wasted unlike bottle feed it contains other ingredients that are not found ion breastmilk

My last periods date 20 nov 2008,,i took Home pregnancy results & results says positive
what should i eat for healthy pregancy

I have been giving my baby breast milk (I pump my milk and give it to him by bottle as he has had latching on issues)
Anyway, he’s been wanting to eat every hour to hour and a half around the clock. It makes it so hard to get decent sleep at night. And then I am up all day with him and my 2 year old daughter. I’m exhausted!! I don’t remember my daughter wanting to eat this frequently in the beginning.
Is this normal or could it have something to do with his prematurity?

Question by gr33n1bab1: 5 week old baby projectile vomiting?
My daughter is 5 weeks old, we have her on formula because I never got in breast milk. The last week she has been very niggly and crying alot, and the last two days she hasn’t been ble to keep anything down and projectile vomiting. She is so tired from that, that she is sleeping about 20hrs a day from her usual 12 or so. Is this normal? My doctor and the E.R said they can’t do anything unti she gets dehydrated because she seems healthy to them. I’m worried because she isn’t getting any food. I have been giving her some water and she is keeping that down. I have her on Presidents choice formula. Is it possible she is lactose intolerent?

NO WATER! Too young, There is no nutrients in water, she may be hydrated but she will get sick!
I would try her on another formula, and sometimes a lactose free formula will work better, even if they don’t have a total intolerance

What is a 32 to 34 week premie like?

I am at risk of preterm delivery and have just made it to 32 weeks but not sure how much longer we are going to be going.
I have done some research and know odds of survival are high. Odds of disability from prematurity are low.
What else should I know?
