Question by : My cat of 5 years old has the meow of a 6 week old kitten. What is wrong with her?
When i first got my cat she was about 6-12 weeks old, and she couldn’t even make the slightest meow. she would open her mouth, but no sound came out. eventually once she was about 1 and a half years old she started meowing like a little bitty, new born kitten.
her meow has developed a little but i just found a stray kitten which i took in. the kitten, Patches, is a calico of about 10-14 weeks of age, maybe older, and she has a louder, or more mature meow than my 5 year old cat.
what is wrong with my elder cat? does anyone know? i mean if this helps at all to find the reason why here is some info about her: she doesn’t chew her food well; and she eats dry food, so she throws up often. she barely cleans herself. Is the breed called and American Bombay. is slightly obese and sleeps a lot. she is allergic to wet canned cat food, when she eats wet canned cat food it makes her droppings, or fesses runny and smellier than usual.

Question by : My 5 week old is vomiting all her formula whats wrong?!?
I have a 5 week old baby girl. She’s curently on soy formula because the regular 1 would make her constipated. She has always spit up and lately she has been projectile vomiting all of her formula everytime she eats. I always burp her and I already tried feeding in smaller amounts. But nothing. What can I do and what do u think it is?

I think you should give your doctor a call and ask them, because it can be the formula. Poor baby try and get help from a doctor asap so she won’t get dehidrated from all the vomiting.

Hmm… sounds to me like he might have severe acid reflux. I would try a new hospital! Good luck :)

Question by Dan B: My 7 month old is projectile vomiting approx once a week. She continues to retch/dry heave for about 2.5hrs?
During this time she is completely lethargic and pale with cold sweats. It only lasts about 3 hours or so and then like a light switch she is back on. No problems (with her stools or fever) in between episodes. It’s not related to anything she ate (different foods each time) with the exception of Enfamil Lipil (which she gets 5 times a day every day). We’ve had an x-ray of her belly and an Upper GI with nothing abnormal found. No evidence of reflux either. This is not just spitting up either (she did that for the first 4 months), I know what that is like. Any thoughts?

Has pyloric stenosis been ruled out? It is a thickening of the stomach muscle which causes food to be violently forced back up. The muscle will thicken more with time and can cause dehydration and starvation eventually if not treated. I would check into it and rule it out just to be sure if you havn’t already. Also, it is more common in boys.

Yellow, projectile vomiting in 2 week old?

Question by Brooke Louise 26/09/09: Yellow, projectile vomiting in 2 week old?
My daughter is 2 weeks old and tonight she was sick absolutely everywhere and its was kind of a yellow colour – Not bright bright yellow, more like a pale mustard colour. She is fine in herself and doesn’t appear to be ill. Sleeping normal and filling her nappies normal – she has even had a bottle since the incident. Could this of just been milk trapped in her tummy from earlier in the day thats come back out? She doesn’t bring alot of wind up when we wind her – Maybe one small burp in say 20 minutes worth of winding, she does however break wind all the time. Could this lack of being able to be winded be a factor too???

Thank you – Hope my question made sense?

Call her pediatrician. The color is more concerning to me.
