“premature” babies need to be placed in an incubator because they are not fully developed and capable of surviving on their own, while preterm babies simply come before 37 weeks but may be able to survive on their own…so how long before 37 weeks can a baby be born before being declared “premature” and thus incapable of surviving on its own?
Frost thank you so much for your input… Is there a respected website you could point me to that says that?

I am almost 29 weeks pregnant, am high risk of going into labour prematurely and just interested in survival rates? What she would look like? How long she would spend in special care? That sort of thing. Hoping to keep her in till i am 35 weeks but I am just curious
Thanks in advance

My brothers girlfriend is 16 years old and 7 months pregnant. She said water started to come out of her…and she had lower back pain and her tummy hurt. So my brother took her to the hospital.
Does this mean she’s gonna have the baby premature? Or what happen? She has been pregnant before but she lost the baby… And my brother said that she had an infection down there…not sure what that means.
Okay this might not matter but im 15 and don’t know much about this.

My little brother was born this way. Is he only a few weeks actually and will he develop as a regular/normal baby?
