Question by Amber M: Spontaneous Projectile Vomiting from a 6 month old puppy?
Great title huh? Its not so great at 3 am 4ft from where he was laying. Herky, my Old English Bulldog puppy of 6 months has been doing this 1-3 times a week. Its not accompanied with any other symptoms; no diarrhea, no odd behavior, no abdomen swelling, nothing at all. He eats Eukanuba Large Breed Puppy, 3 3/4ths a cup, split into two servings. As of today, I’m doing 3 servings, a cup each. I water his food down and make sure its mushy before I give it to him. I’ve given him Pepto Bismal and occasionally rice/boiled chicken after I’ve taken his food and water up for 12 hours. I feed him at 7-7:30am and 6:30-7pm, and like I said, as of today, 1 cup at 12. I’m not noticing any discomfort. We’ve (my fiance’ and I have tried just about everything) taken up edible bones and no more treats/biscuits. I’m completely out of ideas and I don’t want to spend a fortune at the vets office right before the Holidays. Any more suggestions?

Maybe the food isn’t agreeing with him.

If he keeps vomitting the best thing to do would be to take him to the vet.

Q&A: baby vomitting from birth is now 6 months?

Question by : baby vomitting from birth is now 6 months?
my daughter is now 6 months old but has vomitted since the day she was born. in the hospital i was told it was due to amniotic fluid in her tummy. she was breast fed though has been on formula for about a month now. at 6 days old we had to bring her to the hospital as she projectile vomitted. i had bleeding nipples and we were told it was the blood irritating her tummy. my nipples healed but baby continued to vomit. caught a cold at 1 week old, was at docs twice and mentioned the vomitting, was told she is just a sicky baby. public health nurse has also said this to me. she is healthy looking and gaining weight so i am not worried on that perspective. but i have never seen a child sick like her, it came down her nose last week! this doesn’t seem normal, but all i am getting from docs is that i’m over protective or feeding her too much. well i have tried starving her just about and giving her water instead of milk if it is too early for next bottle. so she is not over eating. also we are really strict with burping her and do so every ounce or so. i know spit up is normal, but she really does get sick. and i am doing at least one load if not more of laundry every day just down to her sicking up. she had colic as a new born which was helped by medicine but she still vomitted while on this. also doc has told me not to give her milk at night just water, which she will sometimes throw up too. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as i am sick to death of laundry, changing us, washing the carpet, playmat etc…
other wise she is the happiest baby and vomitting only bothers her as i have to change her so often.
no she never seems to be in pain with it, if she did i would bring her to hospital and refuse to leave until it was sorted. has a healthy palour and is about 7-8 kilos, was only 3 at birth so is a healthy weight for her age. also forgot to say she is spoon feeding now too, and does so happily, throwing up hasnt improved or worsened since starting spoon feeds. but doesnt get sick during a spoon feed while she does with milk. also she has a sticky out belly button as does my niece, my sister was told this is a hernia. but i have been told this is not an issue. both myself and my mother also had this with no problems
