Question by smile:): PLEASE HELP!!!!! complicated issue what is best for the child?
i have ask this a few times but really need a few more opinions and answers
My sister recently died and her husband disappeared a few hours after she was killed, leaving me in to care for their new born baby. more information on this: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;…
please read the other question to get a better understanding of the situation I’m in.
My brother in law returned about two hours ago and he is extremely out of it, he has been drinking and i am very sure he has been taking drugs as well. he has now crashed out in his bed. i looked though his bag and found lots of drugs, several pills some white powder i think is coke but could be drone and some other stuff. I am not a stranger to drugs or drug takers, so I know how to deal with this side of him, but he has been missing for four days only to come back and throw up on me. I know he used to smoke spliffs when he was younger but rarely and i have never seen him this way. his wife died four days ago so i know it is a form of escapism but he is in a worse way then i have ever seen anyone be. as you will know from the other question which you should read to answer this question properly my sisters friend is around morning for the loss also, he is out at the moment but i know the moment he returns they will fight. I really don’t know how to look after the child in this situation, this is very short term and i cannot think about the long term right now. the most important thing is my niece. Should i remove the child completely from this situation until her father gets better? I have no right to be able to do that but i think i might have to. she is not my child she is his so i really can’t make any decisions. What can I do???????
i grew up in care and have had some really bad experiences, what happened to me is really rare and very unlikely but care is the last place i would put my niece.

Answer by creamfeather I think you if you tell him that you want to take care of your niece for a short while he will probably be releived that someone is willing to take on the reponsibility for her. This will give you all breathing space to see what happens next.
Question by ♥Beans 4Brains™ Vodka Martini II: ♥ So there i was projectile vomiting at my best friends wedding when i had an epiphany?
…. while the rapid expulsion of my dinner and drinks across a room full of people may be beneficial in helping me not to pack on pounds, it certainly is embarrassing and probably isn’t the best way for me to keep friends … or make new ones, but i can’t prove this.
Oh yes! And i also realized that when a person only drinks a few times a year, even in wanting to celebrate a joyous occasion with a cherished friend… slamming them back like nobodies business probably isn’t a good idea. Especially combined with pain meds and starchy foods. And um, “a few words for the bride and groom” ought to be done with sobriety otherwise said person may have a permanent video memory of her grand intoxication that shall only be referenced in future days to come as “mortifying” “i can’t believe that i said that” “i’m so embarrassed for myself” and “I’ll pay you 50 bucks to delete it.” *sighs* Rock on.
What epiphany have YOU had lately?
xoxo ♥
edit: mirrortwin: erm …. i’m sorry, WHO are you again? I don’t believe we’ve met …. but you’re lacking in the humour department. Come child, sit with me, i’ll teach you how to actually be funny. Thanks!

edit: D-Mag: *sweet!*
edit: minx: ♥ you. And, I made a lot of people smile. No worries, hey? But uh … when your best friends brothers girlfriend is a sweetheart and holds back your hair so you can finish puking … it’s a sign that it’s time to go home, isn’t it? lol.
edit: RC: well … i just may accept should you decide to tie the knot … ;P
I was NOT the Maid of Honour at this wedding, nor in the wedding party though I’ve known her longer than anyone there, aside from her family. I was not offended though … she’s precious and priceless to me. I was thrilled just to see her get married.
Though … the erm … blowing chunks *may* perhaps cause a slight issue in 16 years of friendship. *whoops* LOL
