My daughter Is almost a month old now, and sometimes she throws up after nursing. I don’t mean spit up, she does that on a regular basis but it doesn’t worry me. What worries me is when she throws up like that girl off the exorsist. She’s done it every now and then, and always when I’m slightly engorged. But she’s been gaining weight good and everything. Everyone says it’s no big deal tht she’s just getting too much. Well I need to figure something out because I can’t handle being thrown up in like that all the time. I’m about ready to go to fully pumping. The major reason is because this morning she did it and I had her in her newborn mapper. It gagged her and even came out her nose. Scared the crap out of me! What if I had already fallen back to sleep?!? Please help! I want to breast feed but I don’t want to endanger my daughter in any way!

Question by Natalie: Baby throwing up after a head fall?
My baby fell out of my bed this morning. She fell onto a wooden floor. she started crying right away and 20 minutes later she started to vomit so I decided to take her to the ER where she threw up two more times..They did an xray and said everything looked fine.. and to look out for repeated vomitting… they did not have a pediatric unit there so they told us next time to take her to one that has a pediatric unit. Two hours later when she woke up.. she woke up vomitting and we took her to the hospital again (the one with the pediatric unit) and we told the doc EVERYTHINg.. he checked her out.. my baby had been and still acting very normal.. shes a very calm happy baby and nothing has changed.. shes not even fussy.. its just the throwing up that has me concerned.. the doc ordered a ct scan but after checking her after 2 hours of being in the er. he said that she was too normal and didnt wanna go through a ct scan cause of the radiation.. he said to bring her back if she started to projectile vomit and started acting strange (dazed, confused.. not curious. not being able to concentrate)…
ANYWAY..the baby had some milk and 2 minutes later threw up the milk… she is acting very normal and she used to have reflux when she was a newborn but she stopped vomitting a few months ago… I am confused.. what should I do?
She is almost 7 months and acting very happy. but then she’ll throw up every couple of hours .. she won’t do it repeatedly in a short period of time and then when I bring her back to the hospital.. she acts perfectly fine and smiles at the staff.. what do you think? She is seeing her regular doc tomorrow but does anyone have any personal experience with the whole vomitting thing.. she does it right AFTER she eats but not EVERY time she eats..
also, when she fell off the bed.. she fell flat.. on her body. not landing on her head or anything.. there was a backpack on the floor that broke her fall when it came to her head…
she has been pooping just fine..
I have been breastfeeding my baby.. and just started to give her formula a few weeks ago. I notice that when I give her breastmilk.. she won’t throw up.. only after the formula.. u think the formula is too much for her after a fall?

Answer by Do your own thinking! This sounds like one of those things where you can either: call a doctor and listen to her, or, call on your inner Mummy instincts and listen to them. Do YOU _feel_ she’s okay, or no?

I just had a miscarriage on August 5th… I was only about 6 weeks along. I was wondering how long after a miscarriage is it possible to conceive? We would like to try again right away. My miscarriage was natural and not caused by any medical conditions. If it means anything we already have a 1 year old daughter which we had no trouble conceiving.
