I never used Orajel. Freeze some water on wash clothes and give that to chew.
Are you sure its his teeth? With every tooth my son got, he got and ear infectino also. He would sleep upright if the ears hurt, but not laying down. The pain relief should make a difference.
I would give it a try.
Besides orajel there is also teething swabs, teething tablets.
Does he take a binky? I would squeeze my sons binky under the water until its filled and put it in the freezer. He loved it.
I did buy baby Orajel Nightime for when my son would wake up in the middle of the night due to teething. I mainly just used it at night to numb his gums up a little until the tylenol kicked in. It doesn’t work for that long but it works good for a temp until the medicine kicks in.
You have to be really careful with Baby Orajel because it makes the baby’s mouth numb and they can choke to death on it. You might try getting some teething tablets and you might consider getting a pacifier(was the only thing that helped my son when he was that age).
We used baby orajel (nighttime formula) for my daughter, and we used the orajel swabs sometimes too. They worked pretty well.. I prefered it to giving her tylenol. Popsicles worked pretty well, too.
I’ve found the orajel swabs to work the best and last the longest. You just brake the tip off and the orajel fills the tip and you swab!!
