Red bumps in 10 month old babys private area?
My son a about a week ago got one red bump in his area, like a pimple, I thought it was diaper rash so I just kept putting balmex, then another appeared, then another, then one on his groin. They are like pimples, not small red ones and not a rash. They are not near each other, infact they are all spread apart. I dont know what might be causing this, they are not anywhere else on his body, anyone know what this might be and why it wont go away, and what caused it?

I’d check with your peditrician to make sure everything is ok.
Yeast infection, diaper rash cream will only make it worse. You have to get a prescription from your Dr. Probably Nystatin. It works very quickly.
It could be yeast but my baby has gotten it a few times and I switched diaper cream from balmex to Boudreux(sp?)Butt paste and Dr. Smith’s and it got better and went away. If it continues to spread see your baby’s doc.
This is probably just newborn acne, google it for pics, it will go away with time, wash with mild soap & water at bathtime, don’t over scrub. They can get this on their face too.

Could be a yeast infection. Actually, diaper rash IS a yeast infection too. My Doctor told me to get Monostat 7 and Neosporin. At a mix of 1 part monostat 2 parts neosporin. I used that on my 4 babies bums and it worked miraculously. Ask your Dr about it.
sounds like either yeast or a bacterial infection. If you can see puss than the culpret is more likely bacteria. You can try an OTC triple antibiotic cream (not ointment as the absorbtion is less) otherwise go to see the dr for some bactriban The cause…we all have those stinky bacteria on our bodies living on the skin. They are opportunistic and if there is too much moisture, a crack in the skin, etc…they grow!
sounds like this baby could just have a really bad case of a diaper rash, but just to make sure that nothing else is wrong with your baby, i would take him into a walk in clinic, or just call a pediatritian right away!!
hope i could help!!
My daughter is 10 months too and this happened to her about 2 weeks ago. It started the same way as yours. I went out and got some triple past diaper cream it is 10.00 but is worth it and after about a couple of days of using it they went away. I don’t know what it was either but it was odd. Hope this helped though.
