Question by kala: I have tried twice to feed my baby rice cereal and she projectile vomits. What should I try next?
What should I give her to eat other than what I already feed her.I giver her applesauce, sweet pototoes, pears, peas, squash…basically all the level 1 fruits & veggies.I have given her these for about 6 weeks.. Is there anything else I can try for her. She has a bottle every 4 hours(5-6oz) except for the 12 hours she sleeps at night! Thanks!!

well she may be allergic, i would personally never give my baby the rice cereal because its a natural to give you constipation.
stop the rice and try the oatmeal which is a heck of a lot better for there stomach.
also talk to your dr. if nothing works

Don’t give her rice. Simple. She doesn’t need it/
try a little amount soy cereal pablum, thinned out with formula, or oatmeal pablum
Try oatmeal. To make it for my son I soak it overnight with a squeeze of lemon juice, then rinse it well in the morning and place it with 2 times the amount of water in a pot. I cook it until it’s nice and mushy and then freeze the rest in ice cube trays for the next few weeks. Presoaking the oats helps us to digest them and removes a substance that can prevent us from absorbing important B vitamins and other nutrients.
Good luck–my baby loves his oatmeal with fruit in the morning!!
rice cereal made our girl constipated so i stopped giving it to her. We just fed her fruit and vegies untill about 7 months now she eats what we eat, and she has been putting on weight steadily, i wouldn’t worry about it.
From ages 6 months to 9 months, she’ll still be just trying things out. Even up to a year old, she’ll get most of her nutrition from her bottles, so up until then the solid foods are just for fun. If she doesn’t like the texture of rice, she’ll spit it out, it’s OK.
