Question by prp: My five month old baby only drinks 20 to 25 ounces of milk a day. ?
She does projectile vomiting once or twice a day. Doctor wants me to give her Zantac twice a day but I don’t feel comfortable giving her meds at such a young age. What can I do to increase her milk intake? Any suggestions?

If shes formula fed try switching her to a different one. Also anywhere from 24-32 oz a day for a 5 month old is fine.

Question by Skylight: Burping baby?
Is it normal for a newborn to throw up milk/formula if they don’t burp? I tried burping my son so much this last feeding but he only burped once and then threw up this was after eating 2 ounces

Spitting up is normal, period. He might have spat up from not burping, but he might have spat up from being full, too (Even from just two ounces).
Chances are the amount he threw up is a lot less than it appears to be, too.

Question by me: Projectile motion makes me want to projectile vomit? Physics Help please!!!?
A person standing at the edge of a seaside cliff kicks a stone over the edge with a speed of vi = 19 m/s. The cliff is h = 50 m above the water’s surface. How long does it take for the stone to fall to the water?
Best answer:
Answer by Sassafras
Since it isn’t directly states I’m assuming the stone is kicked horizontally and starts with the vertical component of velocity at 0. If this is the case then vi is irrelevant. The only thing you need is “h”.
Using the basic position equation
y-y0 = v0t – 0.5gt^2
v0 = 0
so
y-y0 = -0.5gt^2
-50 m = -0.5gt^2
t = sqrt (100 m/g)
t = sqrt (100 m/9.8 m/s^2)
t = 3.2 s

Question by gsaltares: Cat Lovers, I need some advice…please?
Ok, Mickey is my baby. She was in the streets when we got her and she was about 1 month old with no momma cat around. Mickey is now over a year old and she is a new mommy of 3 adorable kittens. She is a great mommy and she trusts us completely…she not only lets us play with her kittens she actually plays with us and her kittens together. I think she even uses us a babysitters sometimes, LOL. I just want everyone to know how special she is so you can understand how much she means to us. My worry is that since the kittens were born she still eats alot but she is very skinny and she is throwing up almost every day (vomit is watery with hard food bits as if she ate very fast and it just came right up). Mickey’s personality hasn’t changed much…she still plays alot, shows lots of love and affection, talks alot, sleeps good, and is a great mommy. She doesn’t act sick, I have never dealt with anything like this.
She eats Friskies indoor cat formula (hard food), 2-3 pouches of friskies soft food, and fresh water 2-3 times a day.
Does this sound familiar to anyone? Am I worrying for no reason? Should I be doing something different? Now since the kittens are only 2 weeks old (today is their b-day), should I take Mickey and kittens to the vet? About how much would it cost to take Mickey and her kittens to the vet?
Mickey is not a pet she is part of my family and we need to help her we just don’t know how…please help.

Is the Vomit Yellow? If so there is not much you can do because that means Distemper.
Take Mickey and her kittens to the vet just too make sure nothing is wrong.
My vet charges $ 20 for and office Visit so it depends on the vet, you can call them and ask them.
Also I suggest you feed Mickey Kitten Chow or Pregnant Cat/kitten food as it has more protein and nutrition in it. She is Nursing so she needs that kind of food not her normal everyday food.
I have not seen many nursing cats vomiting after they eat so a vets opinion will be best.
No you are not worrying for no reason.
Take her to the vet is all.
Yes The vet can check kittens and there mothers out right after there born so no need to worry about that.
Sometimes cats do not show they are sick.

I absolutely hate when people say “I want my children to have both parents” well of course you do!!! But your bf there doesn’t!! So wtf are u gonna do? Keep whining and crying cuz its best for your sons ? Hell no. Your gonna do what’s best for YOU and move back home, get the help you deserve and leave the decision up to baby daddy whether or not he wants to stay in their lives. Your babies are babies. They won’t remember anything.
