Question by new mom: my 1month ol is spitting up why?
my 1month newborn is spitting up after every feeding..is enfamil concentrated to strong for his stomach? i still fedd him 2oz every 3hrs n burp him regularly..why is he still fussy..if i give him more milk he will still throw up. help ima new mom!!!

Because it’s a baby. They do that.

if youre feeding him formula, then there shouldnt be anything wrong with it. let him sit for a min after giving it to him and then burp him. If it doesnt stop and the throwing up is like most of the milk he drinks, then you need to take him to see a doctor. Or better yet, just take him back to the hospital that you gave birth to him at.
that is perfectly normal after you burp them.
Maybe give him about 3 oz. Then burp him for about 15-20 mins., my son was fussy and the same way…he would actually let out a couple burps, when I burped him longer after the first burp. But, if it’s just spit up after feedings that is normal…if it is actual projectile throw up, consult his pediatrician. Also, spitting up a lot could mean he has reflux. my oldest son had it, and grew out of it.
um probably the formula isn’t agreeing with his stomach consult your doctor and see what other options there are.
he probably needs a different formula. Similac sensative is good or good start gentle plus (i think it is) is also good. Could also have acid reflex too. I would call up his ped and set up an appointment to find out and they could help you out more. It gets frustrating when they are that young and don’t know what’s wrong. but that’s what i’m guessing it’s the formula.

I have a 3 month old and she has been spitting up since she was only a month old, and the doctors told me they think its acid reflux and that they want to put her on zantac. Well I don’t want to go that way yet so I did cereal, and that works for me but yours is too young so I would ask about the acid reflux just so they can check into it.
