check the label, i am pretty sure it advises that it is for use outside of the body. Meaning keep it away from openings…
If you’re putting it by the baby’s bum as well then it isn’t safe, but otherwise it should say on it something like “for external use only”
The vaginal canal is located inside of the body and you can not see it. The only part you can really see is the vaginal opening. It is not safe to put Balmex inside of the vaginal opening. It is for external application only. If your baby has a rash inside, it would be best to call your pediatrician. It is, however, safe to apply the cream to the outside part of her labia, which is the part you would spread apart to see the vaginal opening. If a little cream goes inside the thicker, outside (majora) part of the labia, that will not hurt anything, just do not spread it apart to apply the cream into that area where the thinner (minora) labia and the clitoris is located.
For external use only. So I would only apply it to the outer labia. Just be sure to keep the inner labia clean–use a soft cloth with just water if any poop gets in there. Bathe the baby daily until the rash clears up.
I put diaper rash cream on the outside if she looks a little red there.Little girls can get chapped there just as well as their bottoms.
Okay, I don’t think you actually ment vaginal canal, just that she has diaper rash on more than just her bottom. Yes, it is safe to but balmex or desatin or whatever other product you are using, on the outside, just be sure to keep it out of the vaginal opening. If the rash IS inside, take her to the pediatrician.
The product does not go there. This is a sensitive area. The product could burn or irritate.
my daughter would inevitablly get a yeast infection whenever i put diaper cream of any kind on her. i would get down in there and dry it out i think… i switched to using petroleum jelly, it still acted as a barrier which is most of the point of diaper cream.
As long as you are not getting it inside. Make sure you are on;y using it on the outside and if the problem persists ask your doctor.
