pump and freeze until you leave
I can’t believe your leaving your baby for a week so soon. But if you are, start pumping your milk and freeze it so that whomever it watching your infant can feed your baby
Just pump milk that is enough for the whole week and have your mom freeze it so it stays good.
Bottles and formula are the only way. Surely breast milk would go off after a few days.
pump pump pump! everything you pump out after feeding store away in the fridge. Hopefully you will get enough out to last that week, but in the event you dont you can always have her supplement some with formula until you get back.
dont forget while you are gone to pump pump pump to keep your supply in!
and have fun!
formula …..
You should start pumping and freezing the milk now because you will need a large enough supply to last the whole week. While you are gone, you will also need to pump. If possible, you can freeze that milk too. Otherwise, you can pump and discard that milk since it won’t keep over the week. If you don’t continue to pump as if you were feeding your baby, your milk supply could diminish.
You need to start practicing bottle feeding with your little one now, or he/she will be miserable!!! If you are exclusively breastfeeding, it would not be fair to the baby to suddenly without warning, expect him or her to just take a bottle! I would suggest having your mother in law come over several times before you leave and feed the baby a bottle so that your baby won’t be shocked when it happens! As for the milk you will be producing, definitely take a breast pump with you. Not feeding your baby for a week could cause you to dry up if you don’t keep the milk flowing! Are you sure you have to go away? I couldn’t imagine leaving my little one for that long, especially if I am nursing!
Wow, you are seriously going to leave a tiy baby for an entire week? For a “vacation”? Nice…
That’s a long trip so soon!
If you’re committed to nursing, pump like a maniac well before you leave. You’ll need mountains of pumped milk, especially in case of a growth spurt. Also make sure you pump while you’re gone, every 3 or 4 hours should do it, depending on how much you can pump at once. Freeze it if you can, but if all you have is a refrigerator, that keeps milk fresh for a few days; you’ll be able to save quite a few bottles! Breastmilk can stay at room temperature up to 6 hours, so keep that in mind when you’re traveling home. Maybe it’ll be too far for it to stay fresh.
Pump it sweetheart. Pump like crazy and freeze all of it so it won’t spoil. And its better to pump to much than to get where you’re going and your mother-in-law and your baby run out.
Pump your brest milk in to the baggies
do you plan to pump round the clock on vacation for a week???
what will you do with the milk you pump whilst on vacation
i would never dream of leaving my little so soon into the breastfeeding relationship….you could surley wreck this relationship by introducing bottles for an entire week without the breast and by you sabotaging your supply
don’t go without the baby……the risk to ruining of your breastfeeding relationship is far too great
take the baby or stay home
Definitely pump and freeze now, and pump and dump during your vacation. You may need to supplement with formula while you are away, but a week of formula will not affect you child for life.
The important thing is to take your pump along, and pump and dump during your trip to keep your supply up.
It is advised to the parents to study of baby milk for healthy and sick children and to choose some reputable global manufacturers that have already been present for decades in market. Necessarily see the declaration of origin and try the milk before use, because it is important that babies get milk of a pleasant taste.
