Your baby drooling has nothing to do with teething hon..it is normal that she drools…it is a good sign that you are keeping her hydrated….(This is uncommon, but some baby’s are born with a tooth..but very seldom does this occur)….
My children started cutting teeth at around 4-6 months….
Most common for babies teeth is 6 months but not all babies are the same some do teeth early and some teeth late so she could possible be teething i would get her some teething rings for her to gum on. Just pop them in the freezer for bit and let her teeth on the cold. Babies get real fussy when they teeth and drool.
My son started drooling around the same time, he is now 3 months old and still drooling puddles, and constantly chewing his hands, but has cut no teeth. I have read that babies may show signs of teething months before they ever actually cut a tooth. (drooling, chewing on hands, fussing) Most babies get their first tooth between 6 and 10 months but some get them sooner. Congratulations on the new baby and good luck!
Drooling is not a sign of teething although a lot of people think it is.
Babies can start teething at just a few months old. I wouldnt think so of a 7 week old though.
Drooling can be a sign of teething but most of the time it happens a few months later. My daughter was drooling so much when she was 3 months and I asked her pediatrician about it. The pediatrician said it wouldn’t be until another couple months.
Teething is also based on genetics. If you were a late to start teething your child may be too. Babies also drool a lot when they are hungry and are also just having fun doing it. Keep your baby occupied with teethers that now come in all shapes and textures.
Early teething before 5 months is a bit rare but usually it happens around 7 months. However when your child is drooling so much, you need to wash his or her’s face and chin a couple times a day and make sure it is dry…many babies end up with a rash. Luckily, my daughter never had that problem.
Anything is Possible with a new baby. Both of my baby girl had a tooth break through at 3 months. Just make sure she gets lots of liquids and spoil her rotten. Enjoy being a new mom!
didn’t you know babies are an excellent source of drool.
My son drooled from birth to 18 months non stop. It was nothing to do with teething just normal for him. All of his pictures have drool dripping down his chin. Not so cute but nothing to worry about.
