How long (and how many) does the average weight baby use diapers for 8-15 lbs?

I saw this deal on line for diapers 8-15 lbs. I am pregnant with my first baby and unsure of how much of this size I will need. I know that this depends on several factors, like baby’s weight at birth, and growth. But on average how much of this size I might need.

The pack that I think of buying has 264 diapers. Should I get one or more. I am lost.

hmm 8 to 15 lbs seems like a big stretch for a baby my son is 7 months and 15 lbs 8oz and he is in size 3 and his says 16 to i think 20 lbs (he uses size 3 bc they hold more since hes sleeping at night hes wore them since 5 months old lol) so maybe its size 2 and you will need alot they stay in one size for a while
8-15 lbs. are size 1 diapers. The thing with diapers is, baby’s never usually stay in this size diapers up to 15 lbs, same thing with the largest weight listed on size 2, 3, etc. My daughter was in size 2 diapers at around 4 months. She wore preemie diapers for 2 weeks, and then Newborn size until she was 6 or 7 weeks. So…she wore size 1 diapers for maybe 2 months. Hope that helps.

I bought a lot when I was pregnant and ended up buying more. She is almost 3 months old and still is in size one. I had 2 big boxes and 2 mega packs and used them all. I had to buy two more big boxes, and will probable need to buy more size one. You will need a lot, but your baby could grow really fast and grow out, so I would buy two or three boxes, if they are really cheap you can’t beat that. You’ll spend a ton on diapers, and change them alot, especially the first month.

My son was 12 lbs by the time he was 2 months old. At 4 months he was slightly over 15 lbs. When he hit the 12 lb weight I went up to the 12-18 lb diapers, so he was only in size one for two months. If you are planning on using the 8-15 lb diapers for when your baby is first born the 264 pack MIGHT last you a month. Babies go through a LOT of diapers when they are first born, sometimes more than 10 a day.
