How full should your baby’s diaper get?

Some people like to change a diaper as soon as the baby wets it, and others let it get close to leaking. When do you change your baby’s diaper?

Every couple of hours or if I can tell that she is wet. I HATE seeing a baby with a full diaper. How long does it take for them to fill it. It’s just not right!
I change it every few hours or when he’s gets upset from being wet. If it’s dirty, I change it right away.
I never it close to leaking, I’m sure those kids have alot of diaper rashes, poor things. I change my daughters diaper every few hours or if she’s had a bowel movement.
about every hour or hour and a half. i hate to let her go any longer than that because they can get diaper rash that way.
Don’t leave it for too long, it can lead to irritation or a rash. And needless to say, no one likes the stench of a dirty diaper!
I check my babies diaper at every feeding and if it is slightly wet hardly at all I will leave it unless she is crying about it. Some babies dont like to feel wet at all. I dont ever let it get to the leaking point. As soon as it is noticeably wet I will change it. However as soon as it is soiled I immediately change it. Diapers are expensive. But diaper rashes are awful and the baby gets really cranky and its sad when they hurt and are in pain. So I say as soon as it is noticeably wet change it. That is my philosophy.
I absolutely change her as soon as I know she is wet. I check her every time she starts to get fussy. That’s the first thing I check because often the reason she is fussy, is that she has wet or messed in her diaper. But I would never let a diaper get full. That could lead to many problems. They can get rashes, I am sure that some infection could set in if a baby were to sit in a pee diaper for too long. I mean it’s one thing if you don’t notice for a little bit that they are wet but to let it fill up, that’s just wrong. Change it if you know it’s wet, don’t let it fill up. Its not worth saving money on diapers for a little to sit in pee!!!!
Every couple of hours or when you feel it is wet or dirty. If my daughter is even a little bit wet I change her right away. She has very sensitive skin so even doing this, she gets diaper rashes some times. The only time she gets a diaper very full is at night. When I change her come morning it is usually pretty full, but we don’t have issues with leaking very often. Maybe twice. Blow outs are another thing entirely.
Good luck!
I always changed as soon as they were wet or dirty. You don’t want those germs just sitting there on your baby’s skin.
Reminds me of a joke my friend told when we had our first baby – we were talking about full diapers and he said “I never let them get anywhere near full. 5 or 6 pounds at the max. The box says they can handle 8 to 10 pounds.” I always change the baby’s diaper when I notice it’s been wet. If they just wet it a little bit you frequently can’t tell anyway until it’s off.
As soon as I can smell it, whether it be wet or messy.
