To fill in the blanks-My husband is in the military, we are from MD and moved there because there is NO specialized medicine in Key West where we were stationed and he was due to go to school in VA a few hours away. We were only back home for 5 or 6 days before I gave birth at 26 weeks gestation due to a placenta abruption. Have a healthy, happy pregnancy! I knew from the get-go something was wrong with my pregnancy and tried to ignore it. If you think something is wrong, please be insistent with your doctor. Even if they cannot find anything right away and try to tell you everything’s peachy, trust your gut above all else and make sure your concerns are heard.

November 17th is Prematurity Awareness Day and I thought I’d honor my miracle by sharing a small fraction of his story. AJ was born on March 18, 2011 2lbs 1oz (960 grams) & 14 inches tall… he was born at 28 weeks & 5 days due to Severe Preeclampsia. Today, 1 day short of 8 mos AJ is 14lbs, 6ozs & 26 inches tall. This road has not been easy BUT I have chosen to celebrate my sons Healing and not his shortcomings. For all who are caring for a sick, disabled, preemie child… if you believe it declare 1 Peter 5:10 over them and watch God give you Peace and something to be glad about..Faith & Prayer do work:)

I had a premature baby she was 5lbs 4oz and she didn’t have any complication, she came 5weeks early, I was told that premature babies can get disability. What do thet require and do I met the requirements?
My friend get disability for her premature baby, you can get it’s requirements and she didn’t know if I qualified for it.
