Can you use adult orajel on a teething baby?

I am out of Baby Orajel…all I have is maximum strength Orajel. Can this be used on my baby’s gums? Or do I have to go get the stuff that specifically says “baby”.
Thanks for the quick answers. I’m going to stick to a cold wash cloth and some infant tylenol for now.

No it is way to strong for an infant.
i wouldn’t. it’s too strong, has too much medication for an infant…
Too strong. Do you have any infant tylenol?
Only baby orajel, and no orajel if your baby is under 4 months, and I feel even that isn’t safe. Baby orajel is linked to suffocation/choking risks…

I think you should stick with the baby orajel. Check out the ingredients and compare them at least. IF they are the same ingredients in the same quantities it is okay, but I doubt that is the case.
no bc its too strong for babies
Try this: Sprinkle sugar on a thin slice of onion, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate 15-20 minutes. Rub the resulting goo on the baby’s gums.
It really works! It’s not as convenient as Oragel, but it works!
Also try teething tablets! They are homeopathic and completely work and no side effects, are 100% natural and they dissolve instantly. You can find them at walmart and I am sure many other places too!
When my son was teething, I compared both adult and baby orajel. the daytime orajel has a little bit less ‘medication’ than the adult, but the nighttime formula was exactly the same. so it should be fine to use, just maybe not as much. also the baby orajel is flavored… that’s why it’s specifically for babies.
teething tablets never worked for my son. not to say they wouldn’t work for every baby, just not mine.
something i did when i was out of orajel, is take a couple ice cubes and put them in a small ziplock bag. let your baby gum on that for a while. my son LOVED it, and the bag will keep him from choking on the ice cubes.
GOOD LUCK!
