Can teething cause a baby to throw up?

Not just spit up. We’re used to that, as he is a reflux baby. Really used to it. This is different. Actual throw up. My daughter never had much difficulty in teething. My 6 month old son has 2 teeth. But the top 2 are close behind. They’re giving him a fit. Could this be making him throw up? Or would y’all say he has a virus?

my girl is teething her top teeth and she gets a temp and is alway being sick most of the time all over me its normal
yes mostly high fever too and loss of appetite
yea I suppose they can when my son was teething he had constant runs and I called a doctor out as I thought it was a bug, however the second time he got it I realised it was his teeth causing it.
Hope that makes sense to you and helps.
Teething never caused my son to throw up… I imagine if he was drooling a lot and swallowing a lot of it he might throw up… If it doesn’t stop or if he has a fever, take him to the doc. If it was a one time thing I wouldn’t stress over it.
my 10 month old son is teethin at the moment he had a fever for a few days and a rash I called a doctor too but they said he just has teething syndrome, you can google it. Im pretty sure that the throwing up is due to the high fever, he might get diarreah too and nappy rash like my son has had. KIDS!!!
i would get him checked up by a doctor just to be on the safe side hun young children can have all different side effects of teething but if your concerned get him checked out especially if your son is having fits
Hi sweetie, the moment you said reflux, MOST DEFINITELY!!! Reflux can definitely make a baby really chuck especially if it’s molars coming through or a couple of teeth at a time. All my babies were reflux babies and I use to use the vomiting as a sure sign they were teething. Never let me down once! Because teething causes excess saliva in the mouth, bub swallows it and then it upsets their little tummies with too much saliva. (non reflux babies don’t have this problem at all but may feel a little off in the tummy but don’t throw up) No sweetie, sounds like he is definitely teething. He may also get a slight fever up to 38 degrees celsius with teething too, all very normal. Is he on medication for the reflux to reduce the burning? Often the doctors put them on Zantac liquid (smells and tastes disgusting!). The Zantac does not stop them from throwing up but actually neutralizes the stomach acid to stop it from burning their throats and oesophagus. My eldest never grew out of her reflux so by 15 months old she stopped eating and was in for surgery to correct it (Nissan’s fundoplication) which worked and still does, fantastic. My other 2 girls, grew out of it by 12 months. All my babies had reflux because their daddy has it and their daddy’s dad and grandmother had it so there was a strong line of hereditary reflux there so I always knew my babies would get it. My eldest also was never going to grow out of it due to her syndrome. Now all three of my kids are fine. The more your little one is sitting up and starts to move around more upright the better he will be sweetie. Good luck and all the very best of wishes.
sure teething can cause all sorts of things
no, it doesn’t cause throwing up, it let the baby loses her,his appetite, has fever but nothing like throwing up. ask ur pediatric.
